The Control & Communication Platform team is the Bombardier Transportation internal supplier of control system products for railway vehicle control. The organization is global with sites in Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, and India. The team in Västerås is responsible for computers, input and output products, and human machine interface products. We are now investing in new products with increased performance, cyber security protection and increased functionality.


Join us as a Verification Lead and you will be looking at a career-defining role based in Västerås, Sweden.


In this role, you will have responsibilities and a large impact within the Control & Communication Platform development within Bombardier. The Verification Lead is reposnible for the complete verification of the developed product assuring that the product fulfills the given requirements.
The products developed are complex products including high demands on real time behavior and are also carrying safety functions which implies that the verification shall support assessment according to the railway safety standards. The products are also developed for manage high demands on cyber security protection which means that verification of this is an important part.
The verification activities for the product will be performed in cooperation with the platform verification manager.


Your responsibilities will include:
• Plan and lead the product verification team. The team will consist of internal and external resources.
• Participate or assure participation for verification activities during the product development lifecycle
• Lead the creation of test strategy, test plans and test specifications
• Define methods used for the different test levels and lead the development of test tools and test scripts etc.
• Lead the execution of the test activities. The projects are executed using agile methods.


Qualifications



• Key Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or comparable;
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience in embedded software verification. Knowledge about test methods using test automation is desired.
• Leadership skills or ambition to lead a team.
• Demonstrates strong communication and diplomacy skills; drive for results, good problem-solver with a systematic approach.
• Good documentation and presentation skills using MS Office tools;
• It is desirable with good knowledge about industrial or railway safety standards and cyber-security for embedded systems and how to verify the fulfillment of these.
• Fluency in English is required, and Swedish is desired.
