The qualified candidate will be responsible for developing and ensuring the successful implementation of the vertical marketing strategies and vertical marketing initiatives for the industrial vertical - this role will both develop the vertical marketing plans and ensure execution in each region.
This role will also define the optimal path to profitable growth within the industrial vertical, including geographic expansion, development, and the pursuit of adjacent sub verticals. This role is responsible for leading the industrial vertical marketing processes including: strategic plan, marketing plan, and communication to the European regions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads industrial vertical marketing for CT Europe with responsibility for creating and implementing the Europe CT part of Xylem industrial vertical marketing plan. Obtains and analyzes industry reports and data to support the evaluation of growth opportunities. Develops market strategies and corresponding execution plans to drive organic growth and mergers and acquisitions.
* Leads the deployment of strategic industrial priorities working collaboratively across all functions and regions in an international environment.
* Ensure a close corporation with the European KA team, and ensures the VOC into the industrial vertical marketing plans.
* Identifies and prioritizes growth opportunities (market attractiveness, ease of execution) within the industrial vertical. Provides leadership for Europe wide initiatives such as vertical marketing projects. Coordinates with Xylem Corporate marketing and GCs as necessary to ensure alignment.
* Ensures all deliverables, including a finalized document and presentation, are completed within scope and on time and are aligned with Xylem's functional teams and shared commercial teams to drive effective implementation.
* Gives input to the marcom activities, to ensure that marketing plans and campaigns are seamlessly aligned with the vertical strategy and Goal Deployment Plan, in the most cost-efficient way. He will within the industrial vertical insure alignment and coordination with the GCs marcom activity.
* Coordinates the Regional Marketing leader's activity within each vertical and insure the deployment of the vertical marketing initiatives across each of the regions.
* Coordinates and support business teams to develop and execute organic market entry plans into adjacent markets, products, services and new geographies in alignment with the strategy and Goal Deployment Plan

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Requirements
* MBA or equivalent experience
* Minimum 10+ years success in marketing development and execution
* Demonstrated program management acumen
* Must have strong analytical, presentation, influencing and communication skills
* Fluent in English
Knowledge/Skills Required
Marketing, program management and business development acumen: The ability to identify the core business strengths and unique opportunities and strategic differentiators that provide a sustainable competitive advantage. Requires strong analysis and execution skills including:
* Market Segmentation: Knowledge and understanding of the businesses along the lines of the most relevant customers and end-market groupings
* Business Assessment: Knowledge and understanding of the industry structure and our businesses strengths and weaknesses.
* Identification of Issues and Opportunities: Knowledge of where the business opportunities exist and the competitive threats to Xylem from outside the company.
* Developing and evaluating alternatives: The ability to develop multiple strategic alternatives to drive strategic decision making.
* Development of a multiyear vertical marketing plan which provides the roadmap to achieve CT profitable growth and objectives.
* Finance Acumen: The ability to analyze market and competitive data to determine implications for the CT's business strategy.
* Pump industry Market Understanding: Knowledge of the strategic drivers and dynamics of the Pumps industry would be preferred, not required
* Global Business Acumen: Demonstrates a broad business focus and understands Xylem in the context of many different industries and geographies.
* Program Management: Sets effective priorities and ensures timely progress on key milestones, adapting approach to deal with changing needs and situations. Addresses obstacles and monitors and ensures progress to deliver on commitments. Ability to strategically plan and implement over a 3-5 year time span.
* Able to live and work with ambiguity and change; must be able to work with little direction and guidance
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Power Point and Adobe.
