VESC (Volvo Cars Engineering Student Concept) - Research and Development

At Research & Development you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. VESC aim to establish a good foundation for a long term relationship between Volvo Cars and students in various Master's Programmes. The concept will provide you as a student with a unique opportunity to experience and work in the very centre of the product development in the automotive industry.

Summer job for 4-10 weeks throughout the summer period of 2017.
Thesis work during your Master's Programme.

In order to be eligible as a participant in the VESC programme you need to be in your first or second year of a 2-year Master's Programme. In addition, you need to be fluent in English.

We are looking for Master's Students studying in the following areas

* Applied Mechanics
* Automotive Engineering
* Product Development
* Interaction Design and Technologies
* Software Engineering
* Computer Systems and Networks
* Systems, Control and Mechatronics
* Communication Engineering
* Electric Power Engineering
* Embedded Electronic System Design
* Computer Science - algorithms, languages and logic
* Ergonomics

Your profile

* Ability to take initiative and work independently
* Cooperation and communication skills
* Positive and committed attitude
* Some positions will require a valid driver's license
