Northern Offshore Services (N-O-S) is expanding its services within the offshore wind industry by taking over full technical and commercial management of four Offshore Supply Vessels in the third quarter of 2021. The vessels are 80-90 meters long, designed for Accommodation, Cargo Transfers, W2W, Survey and ROV Operations.
We are now looking for a Vessel Superintendent (VSI) to join our team to handle the management for the our new Offshore Supply Vessels. As VSI in N-O-S you will work in close cooperation with Vessel Management Team (VMT) members and be responsible for the technical operation of the vessels. You will ensure that the assigned vessels are tradable at all times and that the crew are adequately supported to maintain the vessel to comply with customer, classification and flag-state requirements.

Your tasks
Lead and provide direct hands on technical support to our crew
Planning of vessels maintenance and budget based on a 5-year plan
Follow-up and implementation of IMO, classification and customer requirements
Planning and supervising of vessels shipyards and repairs
Close follow up on the vessel's maintenance, ensuring optimal operational efficiency
Responsible for resolving and finalize technical issues for the assigned vessels
Carry out technical inspections onboard our vessels
Responsible to develop and maintain the assigned vessels planned maintenance system
Budget planning and follow-up of KPIs



Your Profile
The ideal candidate has a marine engineer education and experience of working onboard as Chief Engineer or Engineer. You have previously worked in a similar role at a shipping company and where experience from the offshore industry is an advantage. You can independently and cost-effectively carry out procurements with suppliers and shipyards. You have experience and solid knowledge of the industry's regulations and standards when it comes to classifications and authorities.
To succeed in this role, you are solution oriented and are motivated by finding solutions to different issues that are not always planned. You are not afraid to make decisions and have the ability to succeed in motivating others. To thrive in this position you also need to enjoy collaborating with your colleagues onboard our vessels as well as colleagues from other department. You are fluent in both a Scandinavian language and English.
You will report to our Project Manager SOV. Frequent travels to our vessels, yards and subsidiaries will be an important part of your role. You will be part of the N-O-S duty schedule.
Terms of employment
This position will start as soon as possible. You will be based at our office in Gothenburg, Sweden or Kastrup, Denmark. This is a permanent employment with a probationary period of six months.
