The role:
As our Veterinary Orthopedic Surgeon you will be our leader of the Surgery Department. Your role is to develop our veterinary and nurse team in orthopedic surgery as well as taking care of the orthopedic patients in a professional way.

In our hospital there is a 128 slice Philips CT and digital X ray and all necessary surgical equipment for orthopedic surgery.

We have several veterinarians from abroad in our group, so we are used to welcoming foreign veterinarians. Rounds and meetings will be in English until you are comfortable with the Swedish language. We also provide accommodation in a house owned by the clinic until you have found something on your own if you wish.
You will be working 40 hours a week. All working time is on the clinic and paid. You are always scheduled in a veterinary-nurse team. Your working hours include evenings and weekends.

Your profile
We are looking for an experienced veterinary orthopedic surgeon who offer excellent veterinary care for orthopedic patients. You enjoy client communication and to work closely with a competent team. There is a massive case load of trauma cases during hunting season (fall). You are passionate about surgery and knowledge sharing. As a person you are positive, a problem solver and have great ability to prioritize your work.

We welcome both applicants from EU and from third countries. English works fine until you know Swedish. We provide two to three weeks introduction period so you feel comfortable to work in our hospital. Our nurses are there to help you with client communication as well as administration.

The veterinary group MittNorrlands Djursjukvård consists of approximately 170 employees. We are part of IVC Evidensia, which is one of Europe’s largest veterinary care provider.
