Paradox Development Studio is now looking for a talented VFX Artist To join our art team in Stockholm, working mainly on producing VFX for our in-house titles.
We are looking for a Game VFX Artist with a broad skillset who could take on a variety of tasks. The successful candidate will primarily create VFX and VFX Animations using our in-house engine and tools.
Responsibilities
Create high quality VFX for current and new titles
Collaborate with Art Leads & Art Director to maintain style and quality
Communicate effectively and proactively with other projects and team members
Help create and continuously refine VFX creation pipeline
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience working in the games industry
High proficiency in Photoshop.
High proficiency in Maya or similar software.
Strong understanding of techniques used in game engines and VFX
Some experience with the Animation principles.
Experience in the following is a plus:
Familiarity with Paradox grand-strategy games
Good communication and pedagogical skills
Technical art skills
2D Art, 3D Modeling
An interest and understanding of world culture and history.
General Art techniques
Node based VFX systems
Experience with a scripting or programming language
Experience with fluid simulations for smoke & explosion in Embergen
