Job Description
Regional Engineering Manager & Lead Developer
Partner with engineering and business-aligned teams to identify opportunities and design solutions
Engage with senior stakeholders to secure initial and ongoing sponsorship
Understand existing and potential data sets in both an engineering and business context
Engage with data consumers and producers in order to design appropriate models to suit all needs
Curate, design and catalogue high quality data models to ensure that data is accessible and accurate
Build highly scalable data processing frameworks for use across a wide range of datasets and applications
Deploy modern data management tools to curate our most important data sets, models and processes, while identifying areas for process automation and further efficiencies
Engage in vendor software evaluations, contract setup, and pricing negotiations
Integrate new internal & external data sets that contribute to business decision making
Drive adoption of cloud technology for GS data processing and warehousing
Directly manage and lead a global team of engineers to deliver enterprise scale solutions
Establish recruiting and hiring processes to build engineering teams in new GS locations


Qualifications
Excellent influencing skills at all levels and the ability to develop and maintain strong global working relationships with multiple stakeholders
Demonstrated presentation skills (oral and written) with experience briefing senior stakeholders
Strong business analysis and project management skills
Ability to breakdown and synthesize complex regulatory requirements
Strong technical knowledge and strong analytical skills to deliver complex analysis quickly
Strong organizational awareness and ability to navigate the organization quickly
Broad knowledge of financial products and markets
Strong team player, with the ability to collaborate with others within and across teams
Demonstrated ability to think ahead, anticipate questions, plan for contingencies, find alternative solutions
Ability to see the big picture and effectively analyze complex issues
Willingness to learn and evolve personal toolkit in line with advances in technology
Experienced manager of team size 10+ across multiple locations
Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills
Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated
Large scale project or change management experience
Familiarity with agile working discipline
Experience in outsourcing for engineering and other related processes
Bachelor’s degree or higher
