Arbetsbeskrivning
Within Sandvik Group, we’re passionate about development and advanced technology, and we always aim to offer the best possible experience for our customers. Right now, we’re taking an exciting step in transforming our market-leading business even further within the area of stone crushers and screening equipment for the mining and construction industries. We do this by founding an independent, growth-oriented and customer-centric Business Area by the name of Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions. A place of inclusive collaboration, agility and innovation - where we nurture an ever-growing portfolio of products and solutions based on the needs of the market, and where pioneering software technology meets the core of manufacturing.
For Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions, we’re looking for a Vice President and Head of EHS & Sustainable Business - a role that calls for confidence and visionary thinking, combined with a strong ethical compass and a passion for all aspects of our working environment. We play fair, build circularity and champion people, and together, we make the shift towards a more sustainable world. This will become a major game changer when doing business and our goal is to be the best of the best – focusing on transparency, diversity, inclusion, zero harm and to reduce our carbon impact. Are you eager to shape the future of manufacturing? Then we really want you on board!
Let’s talk about your mission
By entering this important position, you set out to get our entire organization, as well as our customers and suppliers, to both understand and sign off on what it takes to be industry leaders in safety and sustainability. You develop and implement a global EHS and sustainability strategy for our business area - including goals and targets - and you ensure that our framework drives value-adding campaigns and activities in such a changing and demanding landscape. This is of course managed in alignment with applicable laws and regulations, the overall sustainability strategy for Sandvik Group and in tight collaboration with relevant networks and important stakeholders.
By using a fact-based approach - and keeping people, productivity and profitability in mind - you monitor our EHS performance and our environmental footprint, and you support decision-making closely linked to our business objectives. Other central items on your agenda include identifying and evaluating impacts, risks, opportunities and best practices, and you represent our business in matters regarding EHS and sustainability. Naturally, you create a strong awareness and educate us, and you plan and engage in various projects, task forces and audits within the area. On top of this, you’re a valued member of our management team, and you report directly to the President of Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions.
This position is based in the Svedala/Malmö area, although Stockholm or other locations could be discussed, and some international travel is normally included in your job.
And what about you?
We believe that you have a relevant degree - perhaps within Environmental Engineering/Economics, Sustainability or Compliance – along with five years’ experience from directly related work, where you have gained both theoretical and practical knowledge of managing EHS and sustainability connected to manufacturing. Skills in strategy, stakeholder and change management are very much required, and you’re an excellent communicator who leads by example. But most important for this position, is your true passion for safety, sustainability and the environmental impact of a mining and construction industry. We operate worldwide, and this calls for an open mind and cultural awareness – you’re used to working cross both functions and borders and you must be fluent in written and verbal English.
Your leadership style is honest and transparent, and you’re very skilled at motivating people and driving change through networks. You look at new ways of working and challenge us when necessary, and you’re convincing and influential in your approach. Great collaboration is key, and you know what to prioritize and what connections you need to establish to achieve results. All in all, you’re a strategic initiator and an agile doer – someone who encourages people to open up, think differently and take responsibility!
