About the job
In this position, your mission is to deliver excellent performance in operations while developing new technologies in close cooperation with our business functions. You’re responsible for developing and implementing an Enterprise IT Road Map that aligns with our organization's vision and strategic plan. An important part of your role is to secure business driven decisions. You represent our organization in interactions with external parties to protect our interests and reputation and are responsible for promoting data security, quality, analytics, and a data-driven mindset within our organization.
You work closely with partners, suppliers and stakeholders to optimize the use of modern technology and the strategic benefits associated with it – finding the best mix of internal resources and strategic external alliances to ensure capacity and balance the demand of our customers. Your role involves leading, guiding and coaching a team of managers to ensure that our IT strategy is implemented effectively and consistently. As a member of the Sandvik Coromant Management team, you take part in setting our strategic direction while improving efficiency through cross-functional collaboration and alignment with Sandvik Group IT.
You report directly to the President of Sandvik Coromant and lead an international team of senior managers. The location is flexible, with a preference for our Sandvik Coromant offices in Europe, and international travelling is a natural part of the job.
About you
Your background includes a master’s degree in IT, computer science or another technology field, combined with work experience in similar roles in global and complex settings. You’re experienced in driving transformation and change, naturally within IT, but also by running other business-related programs – with the ability to successfully bring a strategy to life. You have deep experience and knowledge of the IT domain and are truly interested in emerging technologies. You’re a confident and inclusive leader, with proven people- and performance management skills and experience in managing global vendors and IT outsourcing activities. As we’re represented worldwide, you have both cultural awareness and excellent communication skills in English.
