Place of action
Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world’s premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threat.
For increased flight mission efficiency and flight safety we supply avionics for both civil and military customers. The business area has approx. 2,500 employees, of which around 2,000 work in Sweden.
The Sourcing & Production division has about 450 employees across three sites in Sweden; Göteborg, Jönköping and Stockholm (Järfälla).

Your future challenge
As Vice President you will be a member of the business area’s management team with significant influence on the development and future of Electronic Defence Systems. In the management team each member contributes with their individual experiences and skills to create an effective and dynamic environment. You will have managerial responsibility for an underlying structure comprised of three levels of managers, which means that you are required to have the ability to lead through managers.
As Vice President and Head of Sourcing & Production you will be responsible for all sourcing and production operations, serving the whole business area. This is a business that has great significance for our competitiveness and where delivery precision, quality, cost reductions and efficient sourcing/partnerships are top priorities. You are expected to work towards continuous improvement in order to create profitable and cost effective flows and you will have the skills to increase efficiency in the interaction with our suppliers and partners. You will create a production environment where we can manage both prototype and serial manufacturing efficiently. You must also have a genuine business understanding.

We are looking for a manager with excellent leadership skills and the ability to empower employees and ensure a performance driven culture. As a manager you will demonstrate communicative leadership skills in order to create commitment and energy within the organisation. You have relevant professional experience and/ or postgraduate qualifications, proven ability in operational excellence to improve profitability and the ability to work with a multi-site organisation where trade-offs between local excellences and overall supply chain alignments are key to performance.

Location
Preferably Gothenburg, travelling is required.
