Vehicle Purchasing is a global organization within GTP representing a yearly purchased spend of 40 BSEK; the team is responsible for Cab, Chassis & Vehicle dynamics, Electrical & Electronics and Metal.
Vehicle Europe Purchasing being the Strategic steering line for vehicle purchasing activities within GTP, we organize a strong collaboration within vehicle purchasing teams spread across different sites/regions, and we are also the operational line responsible for Vehicle Europe business all along the Purchasing process (sourcing/projects/operations/revenue service parts). GTP Vehicle Europe purchasing team is responsible to drive end to end Purchasing activities whilst securing QDCF-TSR (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management) targets.
Mission
As Vice President Cab Purchasing, you drive and manage the performance of your department from QDCF-TSR stand point. You lead a team of Purchasing Managers in your area of scope, manage supplier relationship, cross functional collaboration, contribute to supplier negotiation & global segment strategies. You also promote a strong collaboration between Buyers and Managers within Cab Purchasing globally thereby capitalizing on regional inputs towards segment strategies, negotiation tactics and other possible opportunities.

Main Responsibilities
Be a member in Vehicle Purchasing Leadership team and in an active way contribute to the development of the department
To manage the overall supplier relationship and implement the global segment strategies
Secure cost targets and KPI fulfillment
Drive department activities towards wanted position and lead the transform agenda in the cab area with partnerships and new business models
Secure needed communication with cross functional teams
Manage purchasing QDCF- TSR deliverables
Manage the development of staff and team performance
Responsible for the budget & operating expenses
Work in accordance with the Volvo processes, the Code of Conduct and the Volvo Values
Sign off Purchasing Agreements in accordance with the authorization directives
You will also manage cross functional interactions with your internal stakeholders, and ensure all the relevant data is ready to be presented in Sourcing Governance
Competence & Experience
University degree in Engineering/technology and/or Business Administration
Strong Leadership skills
Proven business mindset and performance results ( Hard and soft )
Strong technical background
Proven communication skills towards executive’s
Strong Purchasing Automotive experience will be appreciated
Knowledgeable in current and future business trends, technology and markets dynamics
Able to execute in a global organization and be a leader of opinion
Strong ability to summarize complex problems and act quickly and directly. Provide direct & actionable feedback
Able to handle ambiguity’s and hold things together during tough times
Take good decisions in line with internal stakeholders, with risks and opportunities and alternative solutions in mind
Able to manage diversity and offer opportunities for personal/professional development
Able to build high performing teams with a common objective and strong morale and team spirit
Authorities
Represent his/her Purchasing area in cross-functional decision bodies
Validates sourcing cases to be presented to the sourcing decision body
