As Vice President of Consumer Services, you will be a part of a global organization that is leading the development of the Volvo Group’s connected services and solutions. At Volvo Group Connected Solutions we work at the forefront of connectivity with data from more than 1 000 000 Volvo Group customer assets. Together with customers, partners and the Volvo Group we create real value, not only for our customers but also for society at large.


As VP Consumer Services, you will be responsible for driving the execution of the connected services and solutions within the Volvo Group. Main responsibility includes securing products and projects as well as keeping a great quality in operations that drives customer value and success.


The role requires close collaboration with Volvo Group Business Areas and Truck Divisions to understand demands (relevant to each region, market and target customer segments) as well as with functions within Volvo Group Connected Solutions.


You will lead and manage a global organization with operations in India, North America, China, Brazil and Gothenburg, Sweden. The position reports to the SVP and Head of Volvo Group Connected Solutions and is a member of the Volvo Group Connected Solutions leadership team.


Key Responsibilities
As VP Consumer Services, your key responsibilities are to:
Lead an expert organization with a forward leaning culture and ways of working
Lead an organization with teams that work as product teams as well as with “waterfall” initiatives (product centric hybrid approach that Volvo Group applies to)
Secure understanding of customer demands and make recommendation for new service development aligned with, and committed to, by our Business Areas and Truck Divisions
Secure capacity plan and competence strategy aligned with the strategy and business plans
Efficiently manage operation to secure runtime of services and solutions, including cost efficiency and quality improvements
Keep up to date with competition and market trends
Collaborate with functions within Volvo Group Connected Solutions as well as relevant commercial and engineering teams within the Volvo Group to enable successful execution of development and operations
Develop the team and lead the day-to-day business
Be a member of Volvo Group Connected Solutions leadership team. As a member of the leadership team you will be involved in strategy, business development and other projects.



Competence Profile & Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should have:
Experience and proven track record in driving service development based on software technology in a global environment
Interest in and solid understanding of our industry and our customers’ business
Global leadership experience and proven track record of leading business, experts, leaders and teams
Experience and proven track record of managing a global service operation
Excellent collaboration and team building skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Experience in product centric and agile ways of working
Experience from working in larger global group corporations
Strong leadership capabilities with the experience in building and motivating high performing teams.
Successful in building excellent working relationships and operating effectively as a member of a leadership team.
Excellent professional skills from senior roles in a fast paced, multicultural and diverse environment.
We believe the successful candidate has operational experience from working with software-based service innovation in a global business environment. Business mind-set, personal credibility, integrity and creativity are crucial personal characteristics. You are a social person with strong relationship capabilities and enjoy working with others. You have a passion for business, technology and people.
Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred, and you should have significant experience in relevant positions. You are fluent in English. International business experience is a merit. The successful candidate will have shown a winning attitude and great persona in combination with a strong track record and references.



Location & Timeline
We are located in the Lindholmen area in Gothenburg, Sweden. Frequent travel is expected.
