The Role
The VP Credit & Risk is responsible for ensuring that all Retail and Wholesale Credit and Risk activities within Region Europe North & Central are carried out effectively.
The position is part of the Regional Management Team and reports to the Senior Vice President of Region Europe North & Central. The VP of Credit & Risk works with a vision to have world class credit delivery processes in place, appreciated by customers and valued by our dealers?
The position is based in Göteborg, Sweden.
Your Focus will be…
Constantly reviews the portfolio performance of VFS Region Europe North & Central and develops respective corrective activities where required
Develop and execute processes to ensure sound credit underwriting and adherence to procedures
Ensure that the credit delivery process is customer focused and is perceived as convenient and fast
Provide leadership to complex credit transactions
Provide leadership and guidance to our region and the markets by performing analysis and modelling concerning credit risk
Recommend and support the implementation of automated credit processes
Drive efficiency and effectiveness of wholesale credit processes including verification of assets and audits, and lean perfection
You will be Head of the Region Europe North & Central Credit Board?
Your Responsibilities…
Provide holistic strategic, operational leadership and oversight of VFS retail and wholesale credit and risk processes in our region
Ensure that all credit and risk activities are in alignment with VFS and Volvo Group policies and procedures
Ensure that downturn management plans for Credit and Operations are created, maintained and regularly reviewed to ensure effectiveness?
Advocate of seamless processes within credit, risk and wholesale delivery, including strong focus on superior IT landscape and automation of the credit process
Identify and research new opportunities and present possible solutions as well as creating and utilizing cross functional and BA opportunities
We’re Looking for the Following Education and Experience…
University degree
Minimum 10 years credit and risk management experience with ideally direct responsibility for pan-European portfolios
Good knowledge of best practices & process optimization within the finance industry
Strong experience working in an international and multi-cultural environment
Proven people management skills
Excellent spoken and written English. Additional European languages are of benefit
