About us:
Financial Control & Accounting (FCA) is the function in Group Reporting Tax & Control with responsibility to secure that financial performance is correctly reflected for Business Areas, Truck Divisions, Group Functions and legal entities. FCA is also a global service provider through Accounting Services with process efficient, standardized service deliveries supporting local finance. FCA employs close to 1400 people in 50+ countries, closely integrated with local business operations.
FCA drives quality and efficiency through Lean optimization, digitalization and offshoring.
We are now looking for a Vice President FCA Group & Sweden
FCA Group & Sweden is the part of FCA with responsibility for accounting and financial performance reporting for Business Areas, Truck Divisions, Group Functions and legal entities based in Sweden.
As head of FCA Group & Sweden you will lead a team of close to 100 people organized in accounting departments for Business Areas, Truck Divisions and Group Functions. Your direct reports will be the accounting managers of Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, Volvo Penta AB, AB Volvo, Group Trucks Technology, Group Trucks Purchasing, Volvo Autonomous Solutions, Group Trucks Operations and several Group Functions as well as two managers of local accounting teams (VAT, TAX, Global Indirect tax, Payroll & Pensions, Expenses Payments & Statistics) and Internal Control.
You will lead the daily work in the FCA Group & Sweden function and you will secure that operational results and results per legal entity are according to business decisions and compliant with statutory and legal requirements. You will secure a true and fair view of the financial information for the Volvo Group business operations in your scope. You and your team will work in an integrated and seamless way with Chief Controllers, business controllers, VGHQ and other stakeholders.
You have a business oriented mindset and can act as a strong stakeholder in the finance community. In this key position you will be able to use all your experience to influence the development and digitalization of accounting compliance throughout the Volvo Group. You enjoy working in an international and flexible environment. You are a good communicator, change leader and team player.
You will report to SVP FCA and be part of the global FCA management team.
Main activities and responsibilities:
Secure accuracy, completeness and true and fair view of the financial information for the entities in scope
Secure compliance, reporting, analyses and communication of financials for the entities in scope
Secure correct financials in the operating perspective
Secure accounting and compliance in the legal entity perspective
Lead the financial reporting activities and deliver financial analysis of closing outcome
Implement and follow up Volvo Group policies and procedures, ensure compliance including IFRS, local GAAP, tax requirements and internal control objectives
Drive further harmonization and standardization of accounting processes
Participate in, and sometimes lead, change projects in the finance community
Personal profile:
Academic degree in accounting, finance or similar
Extensive experience from accounting, finance, business control or similar
Extensive leadership experience, multi-cultural and global exposure is an advantage
Excellent ability to communicate, engage and drive toward a target vision
Excellent understanding of the Volvo Group’s business
Passion for continuously improving accounting and reporting
Understanding of Volvo’s reporting systems (VGCS, BCS, SAP R/3, Essbase) is an advantage
