Volvo Group Finance contributes to realizing the vision of the Volvo Group by developing and providing a wide range of expert services from financial planning to accounting, business controlling, M&As, treasury, financial reporting, and investor relations.
We are now looking for a Vice President, Head of Group Accounting & Consolidation to join the financial reporting management of Volvo Group.
As VP and Head of Group Accounting & Consolidation you are leading the function which is responsible for governance of the Volvo Groups consolidation process and internal and external financial reporting. You are also responsible for development, and implementation of accounting policies (IFRS) as well as all accounting related topics on a Volvo Group level.
In your position you´ll be a member of the management team of Group Financial Reporting & Business Control. Group Financial Reporting & Business Control is a function within Group Finance reporting directly to the CFO for the Volvo Group. The function has the responsibility to drive operational and strategic matters within Group Accounting, Business Control, and Internal Control for the Volvo Group.
The position
In your role as Head of Group Accounting and Consolidation you will be the main responsible for the groups consolidated financial reporting and you will functionally lead both other leaders and accounting experts. With a holistic Volvo Group perspective, you will represent Group Accounting in projects, fora’s as well as in business development and M&A initiatives. You will also be responsible for reporting to top management, and you will coordinate the quarterly disclosure process as well as having a key responsibility for Volvo Groups Annual and Sustainability report. In this role, you and your team will work closely with other departments within finance and other functions, and you will be a strong stakeholder in the collaboration with the external auditors.
Within Group Accounting & Consolidation you will lead a global and diverse team of skilled and high-performing professionals who work with passion and trust in each other in an open and positive atmosphere.
Your profile
Master’s degree in Business/Economics or Accounting
Extensive experience from a similar position in a listed company/group, leading the group accounting and consolidation processes
Experience from a company with full value chain operations is a plus, from development, manufacturing, sales, financing, treasury etc.
Previous experience from an Audit firm is a plus
Experience from leading leaders
Fully proficient in IFRS
Significant experience from multi-cultural and global finance operations
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, strong in networking
Fluent in English both verbal and written
