In the Controlling & Product Finance (C&PF) function at Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) we ensure successful product cost management, cost engineering and financial management of Group and Group Trucks R&D investments. We drive our contribution to optimize performance and support transformation, while pursuing process improvements and continuous learning within our global function.
The Powertrain Business Control manages the financial processes and tasks for the Powertrain Engineering function and R&D investments. We work with early and late phases of R&D investments and product cost management. It is a vital function to secure long-term profitability of the products as well as financial management of the function.
Mission
As Vice President Powertrain Business Control you report to the SVP Controlling. In this job you are responsible for Business control which includes a broad number of activities, such as target setting, follow-up, decision support and efficiency projects.
You will lead a global highly competent team, where you are line manager for the colleagues located in Gothenburg. You will be part of and work closely with the Powertrain Engineering management team and pro-actively support and ensure good controlling of the function and the R&D investments. Besides the Powertrain team, you will also have the C&PF Site manager in Brazil reporting to you. You inspire and lead the team and collaborate seamlessly with other functions to continuously develop ways of working and the value contribution.

Main role & responsibilities
Business control for Powertrain Engineering and part of the management team
Financial management of the ‘Powertrain’ portfolio and associated activities
Global functional manager and local line manager for resources at the site
Optimize the value of the full Controlling & Product Finance contribution to the function including product costing
Proactive in driving financial performance and managing risks
Secure compliance with GTT and Volvo Group Financial policies
Critical Competencies for the position
Hold a university degree and/or MBA
5-10 years of experience in leading global controlling position
Proven leadership experience
Strong skills in communication, collaboration, continuous improvements and building teams
Good understanding of our Industry preferred
