We are looking for an extraordinary Vice President Research & Development to execute our global R&D strategies 2025.

Underground division is one of five divisions in Epiroc and employs approximately 1 500 people located in our Product Companies and Customer Centers world-wide.

In this senior position, you are responsible for our global R&D operations that employ > 250 high-level professionals located in Sweden, China, and India. This role provides a great opportunity to execute our work with a talented and diverse team from different continents, and to make a key contribution to the continued successful development of this division globally. You report to the President of the Underground division and belong to the divisional management team.


Mission
Your overall mission is to safeguard that the Underground division continuously gains market shares in the segments we operate, being recognized as market leader and operating with the profitability the Epiroc Group expects.

Your specific mission as VP R&D is to ensure that the Underground division will remain its competitive and market leading position both short- and long term, by having the strongest product portfolio in our industry, optimizing our global footprint, and driving operational excellence. You will also ensure that we constantly stay up to date on new technologies making sure they can be implemented as a natural part of our product portfolio development.

* High focus on developing new technology solutions: automation, digitalization and electrification
* Close collaboration with our strategic partners, joint ventures, universities and actively seek new opportunities in order to stay at the forefront of technology development
* Shorten ‘time to market’ in New Product Development by applying new and agile ways of working
* Lead and drive continuous improvement and efficiency increases in R&D

We believe you have knowledge and experience in R&D and product and technology development.

You have a university degree in a relevant field and are fluent in English.


Location and travel
The location for this role is flexible depending on where the candidate is located. Occasional travel will be required in this position.
