Then you might be the Vice President, Global Research and Development team, that we are looking for. 


As Vice President Research & Development within our wider Innovation team, you will report to the Senior Vice President, Innovation and be part of an ambitious, and impactful management team. The role is full time and can be based at one of our two sites in Hörby, Sweden, or Nieder-Olm, Germany.

 

About the job

As the Vice President you will lead two diverse teams of experts in the research and development of voice and respiratory products. 

The Vice Presidents responsibilities include:


• Define our innovation strategy of Lary and Trach products based on market input and patient needs
• Build one global R&D organization that can deliver on the strategy
• Oversee and ensure progress on the R&D project portfolio
• Define and harmonize the global R&D processes across sites
• Develop an innovative portfolio of commercially viable products in close collaboration with the Commercialization team
• Ensure medical and economic evidence for the superiority of our standard of care in close collaboration with the medical and scientific team



Working closely with our markets and Global Functions, you will play an important role in delivering on our growth ambition.

 

About you

You are a team player with a strong drive and a pragmatic and commercial mindset, that want to drive R&D projects in collaboration with the markets and the global Commercialization team in order to deliver profitable growth. To be successful in the role, you need to be strong in identifying and pursuing commercially attractive product opportunities, create followership and collaboration in your teams and drive a complex project portfolio forward.

 

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate has considerable experience in developing and leading R&D organizations and processes in the MedTech or Pharmaceutical industry.

Moreover, most of the following qualifications must be met:


• Master of Science degree or similar. Strong business acumen as well as a research background.
• At least 8 years of relevant R&D experience, ideally in a combination from different industries.
• Experience in understanding global and local needs and commercial opportunities and transform them into impactful R&D project initiatives
• People or project management experience with a focus on people development and building high performing teams
• Ability to lead cross functional and cultural teams delivering on both long- and short-term objectives
• Strong communication skills
• Ability and appetite to travel regularly between R&D sites (typically every other week) – based on non-Covid19 influenced times
