We are looking for a Vice President, Trade Europe - Asia/Middle East to join our Business Operations West team (“Bo West”).
Vice President, Trade Europe - Asia/Middle East will lead the Asia/Middle East Trade unit in delivering Shipping Product for assigned trade routes, maximization of financial results, ensuring operations are in accordance with agreed product and delivering customer satisfaction.


Key responsibilities
Set, Deliver and Adjust the Product
· Manage the trade to work out the most optimal service product while focusing on improving bottom line result.
· Focus on product integrity and schedule reliability to enhance customer satisfaction.
· Support development and implement agreed product strategy.
· Maintain balance and differentiation between product and capacity.
· Sign-off on tender & contractual product commitments.

Overall responsibility for Capacity, Scheduling, Allocation, Coordination/Prioritization, Receiving, Stowage Planning, Loading, Documentation and Business Control
· Overall schedule planning.
· Capacity management, ensure optimal vessel line up.
· All planning, customer coordination and communication for fulfillment accounts as well as space allocation for cargo booked via Sales Support teams.
· Coordinate prioritization decisions with Head of Sales.
· Constantly focus to improve efficiency and lower operating costs – emphasis on bunker consumption.


KPI:
· Profitability: TCBH, TCBH/day, EBITDA.
· Customer Satisfaction: Product integrity, B/L Quality.

Job Requirements and Personal Attributes
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
· Minimum 15 years in the Shipping Industry with an in-depth understanding of RoRo and deep-sea shipping, logistics, and demonstrated understanding of breakbulk or industrial project cargo.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience as a leader of a team of diverse workforce both locally and remotely.
· Ability to build, develop and lead teams coupled with ability to influence and drive decision making of various teams without having administrative responsibility.
· In-depth knowledge of global industrial cargo trade patterns, particularly between Asia, U.S. and Europe and excellent knowledge on drivers that influence Trade results.
· Proven knowledge of RoRo operational requirements for the safe handling of Industrial Cargo.
· Experience of working in different global markets and countries and specifically experience of working in Asia (ideally you would have lived and worked in Asia at some point in your career).
· Cross cultural understanding. Ability to function in a cross-cultural environment and be able to communicate with all levels inside and outside the organization.
· Must speak Korean as you will a lot of interaction with the Korean market.
· Excellent English oral and written communications skills.
· Good analytical skills, with result-oriented approach.


Some travel is to be expected.
