Internationella Engelska Skolan i Jönköping require a number of cover teachers.

We prepare students for success in a safe learning environment where teachers can teach and students can learn. We require enthusiastic, flexible and hardworking members to join our team. Although qualifications are not necessary to work as a Cover Teacher it would be an advantage.

As a cover teacher you need to be able to jump in at short notice, so flexibility is essential, you need to be able to understand instructions and lesson plans given and work in accordance with IES policy and ethos.

The core philosophy of the school can be summarized by three points: To Master the English Language, to have High Academic Expectations and to study in a Calm and Safe Learning Environment. We work hard to make these ideals a reality in our school. We have clear rules and expectations of our students. We use the concept of 'tough love', which means helping students to realize their full potential by making each lesson and activity challenging and by providing regular homework and assessment. Half of the subjects are taught in English by native English speakers and half taught in Swedish by native Swedish speakers. We follow all school laws as set out by Skolverket.

About the school and IES:
We have grown in size each year and in August 2015 we had 825 students in years 1-9, making this the largest compulsory school in Jönköping County.
In 2012 we were one of the first 8 schools in Sweden who started running a special advanced education (Spetsutbildning) approved by Skolverket.

Internationella Engelska Skolan is a leading independent school group (friskola), reaching academic results far above average.
