Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra is seeking to fill the positions of principal and coprincipal
viola. We are looking for candidates who are committed to orchestral playing at the
highest level, who's strong leadership qualities play an active role within the orchestra's
inner circle.
AUDITION PROCESS
Suitable candidates will be invited to work with the orchestra for 1 trial week. During this
week the candidate will be required to take part in an audition with obligatory works and
orchestral excerpts.
Norrlandsoperan pays for travel and accommodation for the trial week. If the candidate
travels from outside Sweden, up to 100? will be reimbursed for travel expenses. Productions
are usually 4 days long with the concert taking place on Thursday or Friday. Trial weeks for
both positions will be spread over season 2020-2021 (late August 2020 - June 2021).

Norrlandsoperan is the worlds northernmost opera house yet only one hours' flight from
