The Virtual Modelling department in Lund is a department within Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions. We are responsible for developing and leading Material & Package Virtual Modelling capabilities enabling effective concept selections, design, risk mitigations and virtual Validation & Verification.
We are looking for an innovative Virtual Modelling Engineer with high-class competencies in modelling and simulation in packaging material using the latest state of the art methods. This is to ensure the
next-generation fibre barrier-based packaging material development, where your contribution is essential for success.
The position is permanent and based in Lund. The job will require interaction with developing centres around the world and some minor travelling are to be expected.
What you will do
As a Virtual Modelling Engineer, you will work with the development of the next generation paper board packaging material. You will be part of an exciting team of ten simulation engineers, where we continuously focus on closing the gap between known and unknown. You will dig deep into the modelling and simulation capabilities in translate complex physical problems into computer models, with a focus on generating the future products of Tetra Pak.
You will focus on
Ensuring optimal machine-package interaction using virtual modelling tool with a focus on innovation.
Driving the development of packaging materials models using the newest commercial software tools
Development of new methods and solutions for our complete value chain using simulations
Foster a decision-based model-driven approach.
Support development teams in driving reliability growth of the solutions
Participates in the network of modelling specialists from functions across D&E
Who you are
You are a curious person that can't stop generating innovative ideas that push the technological boundaries in packaging material. You have an analytical mindset, and you enjoy working with computer modelling to explain & understand complex scenarios. You are a well-structured person with a strong drive for results with the ability to work independently and in a team. You have a clear communication style and understand the importance of sharing information quickly and understandably.
You have a master's degree in Mechanical Engineer / Computational Mechanics and have several years of experience.
You recognize many of the below skills and competencies:
Modelling and simulation using, Hyperworks, Abaqus, Siemens Software, Altair or similar
Numerical analysis and discretization
Modelling of machines in their interaction with products.
Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, is a must.
