What’s in it for you?
In our department within Safe Vehicle Automation we are around 140 ambitious and highly skilled engineers creating tomorrow’s platform solutions for our active safety and self-driving vehicles. Our Agile Release Train (ART) Autonomous Drive & Advanced Driver Assistance System Platform develops the complete sensor and software platform for functions such as collision avoidance, automatic parking, autonomous driving. Included in our responsibility is design and verification of state-of-the-art LiDARs, ultrasonic sensors, cameras and radars.
We are now looking for an experienced component design engineer to be part of our Vision Platform sensor team.
What you will do
We want a curious and open-minded team player with a "bring-it-on" mindset to be part of our agile development team, who is skilled within vision sensor integration. As an experienced component design engineer, your main focus will be to define, guide and integrate the cameras mechanically and electrically into our vehicles. In order to find the best integration solution, you will also be working tightly with your team, supplier and other stakeholders in creating different concepts and prototypes, and verifying them before continuing to develop the final solution towards production intent.
Do you fit the profile?
To be the right person in this role we see that you have 3-7 years of experience within automotive sensor integration and have knowledge of vision sensors. Your academic background is a minimum a bachelor's degree within electronics, mechatronics, robotics, or similar.
You have proven hands-on experience in developing automotive sensors or if not automotive, then in developing vision sensor/system from other industries. You understand how to bring out the best of sensor performance, time, cost and quality. We also deem it meritorious if you are also capable of verifying the design in terms of sensor performance. Furthermore, you also bring with you your knowledge of modern materials and manufacturing processes.
We see you as a person who is passionate about self-driving vehicles and take pride in laying the foundation towards a very capable perception function for these vehicles.
As for your personal qualities, we see that you are a driven, structured and resourceful team player who can deliver the "how" and "what" in dynamic multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. You thrive in managing complexity and bringing engineers together to make a difference in the product. Of course, you are also a good communicator, and have excellent English skills both verbally and in writing.
Driver's license (B, valid in EU) is an important prerequisite.
