We are currently looking for a Visual Designer with strong motion skills to join the design team at marketing. Design through distinctiveness and consistency are the most important factors in building a strong and recognizable brand. The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in design, from an agency or at a brand, with a focus on working with motion design. You want to be part of shaping how we work with design at Mentimeter and like collaborating with people from other parts of the organization. You expect to be a contributing part of strategic and conceptual design development, but also take great pride in doing the craft.
As the Visual Designer, you will be part of the Communication, Branding and Design team in the Marketing Department. The goal of this team is to build awareness for the Audience Engagement Category, reinforcing Mentimeter’s leadership position and drive the added value of design. You will work on both creative campaigns and design implementation for different parts of the organization.
You will work closely with our Art Director and Junior Visual Designer to develop our brand and create new inspiring visual content that will help us reach our goals. You will report to our Head of Brand.
What You Will Do:
Work closely with the design team, be a part of and inspire the team.
Take responsibility for the quality, execution and delivery of design throughout all phases of a project.
Use static and motion design to build brand consistency throughout all our marketing channels.
Work with different formats and platforms to create, including but not limited to campaigns, social media content and instruction films.
Oversee and be involved in creative production, design and motion identity work.
Contribute to our creative process by sharing your ideas and experience.
Present work internally and externally.
Be very forward-leaning around tools, platforms and new opportunities in the touchpoints where motion is key and that enable scaling of design.
Your profile:
Preferably 3-5 years of proven experience in visual and motion design.
Experience creating design identities for brands that can be adapted to any format, device or platform, creating a consistent brand experience.
Exceptional design & layout skills, great eye for composition, colour, typography and detail-oriented.
Keenness to continuously learn and improve to maintain the highest standard of work.
Ability to develop a concept from a brief into a visual narrative and lead projects to final delivery.
A team player who is happy to share ideas, take constructive feedback from teammates and go the extra mile when required.
Remain flexible and positive if designs need to change or direction is modified.
An ability to come up with winning style frames, concepts and motion tests from scratch.
Ability to work quickly without compromising quality or organization.
Effectively communicate creative ideas.
Design degree or similar.
Self-motivated problem solver, dedication, positive attitude and flexibility.
Technical knowledge:
Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Suite (After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator is a must).
