Job description:
Design installation, management, and routine upgrades of VMWARE infrastructure
Knowledge of VMware ESXi 7.0.x host
Knowledge of High Availability cluster in VMware
Provide L3 and L4 support for VMWARE infrastructure
Provide key technical consultation with major Data Centre migration and transition programs
Design and develop operation procedures of VMWARE infrastructure for the Operations team
Knowledge of external Disk Arrays, RAID levels, and NFS
Knowledge of SAN architecture, multipathing, WWNs, iSCSI
Excellent knowledge of networking – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT/PAT, and VLANs
Hardware knowledge of Huawei, Dell, and HP
Knowledge of BIOS and firmware upgrade
Hands and Feet support at the data center
VMware virtual network (virtual switch) knowledge
Knowledge of VMware DRS
Knowledge of cloning
Good knowledge of deploying a new VM with an OVF template
Knowledge of VMware tools
Vmotion of guest VM through offline/online mode between ESXi hosts.
Knowledge of storage array controllers.
Managing PCI-DSS infrastructure
Preferred
VMware Certified
Basic knowledge of Windows and Redhat OS
Knowledge of PowerShell and shell script
