What’s in it for you?
Volvo Cars has recently established a new Product Planning & Group Strategy (PP&GS) unit reporting directly to the CEO. The team is working in close collaboration with the wider business on product planning, corporate strategy, core strategic projects, and the governance of our strategic affiliates.

Within PP&GS is the Product Planning division where Volume Strategy is. Volume Strategy is a small team with focus on the overall global strategic volume planning. We are looking for a person who values teamwork and collaboration across many functions within the company as that will be enablers for creating the best possible executions of our regular deliveries.

What will you do?
The Volume Strategy person will work on a variety of tasks, primarily related to the long-range volume strategy and the vehicle program deliveries, but also to support on other topics within the volume strategy scope. You should expect a dynamic and fast-moving work environment, including activities such as

* Management of the overall global Volvo Cars strategic volume plan for vehicles within dedicated segment
* Managing the program carline volumes for the main Gates and execution of specific volume related analysis
* Driving volume planning scenarios for a time period of 5-10 years ahead
* Coordination of volume alignment meetings for one of the Regions within Commercial
* Support and advice in the preparation of the Cycle Plan decisions with volume scenarios and analysis


Do you fit the profile?
To succeed in this role, we see that you have a B.Sc. degree within relevant area or equivalent experience, for example through years of practice. We are looking for a person with a strategic and analytical approach, who has both leader and product management skills with a great interest in the future car development.

You enjoy interacting with people at all levels and functions. You are comfortable in working across organizations with a focused mindset. Impact and company results are what matters. You have analytical and logical skills with a passion for accuracy in numbers. You are eager to learn new things, and quickly grasp the essence of complex problems from comprehensive data. You are focused and committed to quality on input and output. You enjoy identifying improvement areas and embrace change, and you meet deadlines and are fine to work under time pressure from time to time. You see what needs to be done and do not wait for someone to tell you so. You probably have strategic automotive experience from the commercial and/or industrial business area.  

Last but not the least, we are looking for someone who - on a personal level - shares our values. Being enthusiastic, curious, collaborative, interested in technology with high integrity, and a pragmatic approach towards things goes a long way.
