Volume Strategy Manager

Sales & Volume Management are closely involved in market related activities and we have the ownership of the global Volume Planning Process. We are the department within Global Sales that have responsibility for the Global Industry Forecast and Global Long Range Volumes as well as Global Sales Forecast and Global Production Program. The group Industry & Sales Forecasting within the Sales & Volume Management department are responsible for Global Long Range Volumes and Global Industry Forecast.

As Volume Strategy Manager you have the responsibility for creating and aligning the long range planning volume strategy as well as car program related volume deliverables, directly influencing the Business Plan. You will also be responsible for volume scenarios and analysis in preparation for cycle plan decisions and new car projects. This position will comprise cross-functional communication, meetings with suppliers and recurring meetings with many other departments within Volvo Car Group.

Main responsibilities

* Responsible for the long range volume plan, from planning to release
* Develop the central volumes by carline, market and on engine level based on available knowledge i.e. industry forecast, competitor situation, current sales performance and cycle plan
* Manage the volume consequences in the ongoing cycle plan investigations and studies
* Responsible for the car program volumes and to actively participant in the revenue team
* To have a close cooperate with the sales regions regarding volume related questions and address challenges when appropriate
* Further develop the long term volume forecasting methods, tools and communication

Required qualifications

* Academic degree in business administration or engineering, or equivalent
* A minimum five years' experience in relevant area
* High capability in managing complex scenarios
* Experience from working with senior management is an advantage
* Strategic mindset
* Advanced user in MS office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
* High degree of business acumen
* Fluent in spoken and written English
