Background and organization
The biggest technology shift in decades has just started and for the production site in Köping this will be an exciting journey. We are one of the best transmission factories in the world and we produce some of the best transmissions on the market. The production plant in Köping is the transmission center within Volvo Group Trucks Operations, Powertrain Production. Our site is the Center of Excellence within the area of transmission solutions and today we are 1650 employees. Within Volvo GTO in Köping, team spirit and collaboration are essential for success. We are now looking for strengthening our Engineering Technologies team. The department is part of our Industrial Engineering organization that has not only a strong future focus on our factory and the industrialization of new products, but also provides technical support for our operations. We are looking for a team player, with a structured mindset, who is driven to manage the complexity in managing and implementing new products and product changes in our industrial system. This in a global and cross-functional environment. You have a genuine interest in our products and jointly with the rest of us strive towards being the best transmission factory in the world.
Main areas of responsibility
As a Technical Cleanliness Engineer, you will be responsible for investigate and developing processes for our production site to secure we are reaching our goals for productivity, flexibility and quality by leading investigations and projects. In this role, you will have a great opportunity for personal development. You will be given the chance to grow within Engineering and become an expert that cooperates with universities and develop completely new methods, with the ambition to spread the knowledge globally within Volvo. You will be responsible to secure efficient tools and processes for the site and spread successful solutions globally.
This role
This role will focus on technical cleanliness for our manufacturing processes. You will have an important role for developing, establish and implementing processes and routines to comply to the cleanliness demands. This includes leading/participating in projects for developing and investigating specific measurement technologies for cleanliness purpose. In this role you are also responsible for leading, developing and creating a strategy and roadmap for the cleanliness development at site.
Other areas of responsibility
Create relevant documentation and working instructions to support the site to comply with the cleanliness demands.
Read and review existing and new Volvo standards within technical cleanliness.
Lead internal technical cleanliness investigations to find deviations and recommend solutions for improvement.
Support production engineers in technical cleanliness related discussions
Support the site with competence increasing activities
Participate in development projects within cleanliness

Requirements for this position
M.sc or B.sc in a relevant field, or other educational background
A strong technical interest and ability to create results through yourself and others
Relevant manufacturing working experience
Excellent communication skills (spoken and written), you speak English and Swedish fluently
Good leadership skills and a proven ability to contribute in a team-oriented environment
