We are now looking for strengthening our product preparation team with a Product Engineer within our Product & Project Office department. The department is part of our Industrial Engineering organization that has not only a strong future focus on our factory and the industrialization of new products, but also provides technical support for our operations. We are looking for a team player, with a structured mindset, who is driven to manage the complexity in managing and implementing new products and product changes in our industrial system. This in a global and cross-functional environment. You have a genuine interest in our products and jointly with the rest of us strive towards being the best transmission factory in the world.
As a Product Engineer within our Product & Project Office
You will be part of our Product Preparation team, working with conventional and electromobility transmissions within Volvo Group’s global environment. You will play an important role in both new product and product maintenance projects within Volvo Group Trucks Operations. You will also have a key role in supporting our daily operations.
You will review and approve Design Change Notices (DCN) for Operations to ensure the appropriate level of quality at the release level, co-ordinate reviews cross-functionally on site and when required globally
You will be the connection between GTO and Group Trucks Technology (GTT) in terms of Operations production system and the GTT product change management system.
You will play a key role in developing and setting the product structure for new products in Operations production system
You will represent GTO in cross-functional product document team meetings with GTT and discuss how to handle variants and product structure
You will co-ordinate implementation times of DCNs locally and cross-functionally between sites for timely implementation of product changes in production
You will be the main contact person within the Volvo Group for DCN questions within your area of responsibility
Taking on this position, you will play an important part in taking our Industrial Engineering team to the next level as we continuously focus on improving our methods and ways of working

Qualifications and background to your favor
As a cornerstone in your professional background, you hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
We believe you have a few years of experience within Operations or Engineering. Knowledge within the field of manufacturing assembly and production systems is seen as a strong merit
You communicate with ease in both Swedish and English, spoken and written
