The Engineering Graduate program


The Engineering Graduate Program at Volvo Group Trucks Technology is a global 12-month program where you are offered the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and diverse training modules. You will get not only the chance to use your technical and creative engineering skills, but also improving your soft skills while gaining valuable experience working with real products on real business challenges.


You will have the opportunity to travel across the globe, exploring different sites, markets and working with people from several nationalities. Besides your manager, who will guide and support you in your daily job, you will have a supportive network of peer graduates, colleagues across the globe and senior leaders to help you excel. How you will make an impact


You will work at Volvo Group Electromobility division and be part of the Electrical Motor Team. We are responsible for design and development of High Voltage Traction Electrical Motors used for our BEV vehicles across entire Volvo Group.


Your main tasks will be sizing and dimensioning of electrical components in the Electrical motor (e.g., bus bars, connectors, copper windings and insulation system). Your tasks will also include defining and balancing requirements for electrical system and insulation for the electrical motor. You will also actively be working with suppliers to secure deliveries according to technical requirements and work in cross functional teams to secure the design targets. Further, you will be working with Electrical motor team members to secure the design and functionality and installation of the electrical system.

In order to qualify for the Engineering Graduate program you must have completed a master’s degree in Electrical engineering – (preferably within High Voltage Electrical Motor Systems) prior to the start of the program but not more than 18 months ago. You should not have more than two years full-time working experience prior to starting. You also need to be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
