As a result WWL ASA is the undisputed market leader globally within the RoRo shipping industry, delivering innovative and sustainable global shipping and logistics solutions for manufacturers of cars, trucks, heavy equipment and specialized cargo.
Currently WWL ASA is looking for bright new talent to join two of its group companies in Stockholm: Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics and Eukor Car Carriers.
Role description
You will have the overall responsibility for the planning and execution of voyage scheduling in your trade with the objective of maximizing profit.
Responsibilities
• Set-up standard schedules for the trade considering product requirements /commercial constraints.
• Optimize voyage cost, such as bunker, port and labour costs
• Allocate time slots for coastal and deep sea legs within agreed time and cost parameters.
• Continuously review and coordinate schedules with main stakeholders: VOs from previous / next trade, tonnage allocation and vessel masters.
• Be the main point of contact and first escalation point to vessel masters for the duration of the voyage, during coastal rotation and during sea passages till handover to next trade.
• Identify constraints and areas of improvement and challenge Capacity Management, Tonnage Allocation, Operations and Commercial departments where necessary.
• In any event of vessel / cargo accidents and/or strikes in ports, manage the situation and report to relevant parties.
• Check the feasibility of berthing and the port cost analysis of a port outside our regular service/product.
Requirements and personal skills
You have earlier maritime experience with a passion for the Shipping business. Experience within the RoRo industry and/or hands on nautical experience is particularly advantageous. You are able to prioritize work tasks, have a sense of urgency, work efficiently and be well organized under stress.
We think you have strong analytical and decision making skills, have attention to detail and are able to work independently as well being part of a team. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written is needed and general computer competence (office programs).
