Driver monitoring systems (DMS) are a key component in the ongoing transformation of the automotive industry. From 2026, all newly produced cars in the EU will require a camera-based DMS and governments across the globe are coming to the same conclusion. A DMS is no longer a luxury feature; it’s the law.
Tobii DMS is a driver monitoring software with the purpose to understand and monitor the cognitive state of the driver, including drowsiness and distraction that works as well on a bright summer’s day as on a pitch-black night - regardless of hats, glasses, or face coverings. Tobii DMS has been awarded its first design win. Selected by the world’s largest automotive Tier-1 supplier based in Germany but this is just the beginning…
To continue to scale, we are looking for a VP of Automotive to drive us (pun intended) over the finish line and beyond!
Out of our Stockholm headquarters, you will work as a leader both for the segment and cross-functional core team and be a part of the Segment & Products Management Team reporting to the Senior VP of Segments & Products.
Your days will be filled with:
Developing and executing the segment's strategy to align organizational focus, ensuring a deep understanding of the customer needs, while optimizing the portfolio of offerings, and establishing a winning long-term position.
Driving for decisions through efficient stakeholder management, anchoring the segment's business plan and budget and creating alignment on annual and quarterly goals
Collecting & monitoring market trends
Leading your team and the organization toward our goals
Ensuring the voice of the customers is represented throughout the organization, across teams and functions and being the spokesperson for the Automotive Segment externally.

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:
A can-do, roll-up sleeve, team-first attitude with 10+ years' experience from leading large and growing teams in a matrix organization. You love supporting and developing your team. There is simply nothing better than seeing the team succeed together!
A strategic business mindset with the ability to craft and execute business plans.
A technical understanding and the ability to translate complex technical knowledge to customers, colleagues, and channel partners alike.
Experience and proven track record in the automotive industry, with either an OEM or Tier 1 (preferred). Ideally, you are familiar with ADAS and infotainment ecosystems.
Experience in positioning, developing and delivering a successful portfolio of offerings that fit market and customer requirements. Enable sales to scale in a global setting.
