As Vice President Controlling & Finance it is your mission to actively support business management within the Tools & Attachments division advising the President and divisional management team in the area of business control from a global perspective. This means ensuring there is quality-assured and timely financial and non-financial data that are used to understand where the division is in relation to targets set, that deviations are analyzed and corrective actions proactively put in place.
You will have a key role in the management team, participate in business development activities, and thereby actively contribute in developing our business in line with our strategy for growth. You will be a member of several legal and operational boards in the admin entities and substantial travelling is required.
You will report to Divisional President and will be based in Fagersta, Sweden.
The role
Your main responsibilities will be:
To have a solid control of the division’s consolidated financial performance, and to make sure that the financial reporting and accounting practices of all entities (Customer Centers, Distribution Centers and Product companies) are fully in line with company policies and procedures as well as local legal rules.
Collect and visualize high quality financial and business information to support the management to take correct strategic business decisions. Performance and ad-hoc analyses of different levels within the Division.
To manage the working capital in the division including:
- taking ownership to strongly reduce all overdue payments via a pro-active approach together with the respective GM’s and VP’s marketing.
- setting up and following up on inventory targets for the division's sales, distribution and product companies.
Follow-up and continuous analysis of the businesses, including participation in business and company review meetings for our Customer Centers and Product Companies.
Actively participate in the Divisional Business Boards by organizing, consolidate the presentation and act as secretary for the meeting.
Secure that trends in the business are well understood, that red flags are highlighted, that action plans are put in place.
Lead the planning process for the Division.
To develop and provide the division management team with tools that provide early warnings when deviating from plan as well as give accurate forecasts. You make sure the importance is understood and followed with discipline avoiding surprises to the highest extent possible.
Actively participate by reviewing the financial evaluation of any upcoming acquisitions in the Division.
Secure that the Epiroc Way is followed.
Initiate and participate in internal audits and have strong focus on having clean external audits and take proper action if any external audit remarks exists for the division's administrative companies.
Manage and develop a professional, highly competent team that operates within a good team spirit.
The position also includes overall Divisional responsibility for IS/IT.
In addition to your responsibilities in the Division, you will also be part of the Epiroc Financial Council. You are in this capacity expected to contribute actively to the development of accounting and business control practices in the whole Group.
Your background
You have a University degree in finance and/or business administration or similar, relevant field. You have extensive experience from business controlling positions in global industrial settings, both from customer centers, distribution centers and product companies in the mining and construction industry.
You are a self-motivated and results-oriented team player, with a genuine interest in all aspects of the business operations. You have experience from successfully leading projects in the area of finance and business control. You have a structured way of working, and an ability to leverage technology in process and procedures. With your excellent communication and inter-personal skills, you are service-minded and have a natural ability to interact with people at all levels in the organization.
Being strategical, but also highly operational, is a pre-requisite for success in this role. As VP, you are expected to be a role model for the organization. You naturally lead by example, and being a true believer of our values you foster an inclusive work environment where people develop and grow to their full potential.
Thorough knowledge and experience of "The Epiroc Way", the Epiroc Consolidation System (ECS), and reporting system is necessary.
Excellent English is essential. Other languages is a plus.
