We are building a better world for music with innovative big data technology that tracks online music sources and translates them into meaningful music consumption reports for royalty collection. The solution we’re building does not threaten to usurp the role of industry incumbents - it is about bringing transparency in the industry and supporting efficient royalty collection.

WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL BE

Together with our management team you will be planning, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of engineering operations, procedures, goals, and strategy within Utopia. You will be a direct supervisor of our development teams and you’ll help us build high-performing teams that consistently deliver results for the business.

You’ll work closely with our CTO in co-developing our tech strategies and with our Product department and other peers in different departments to ensure that the product vision is realized through excellence in execution.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Proven success in technical leadership for 15+ years
- Experience working in an interdisciplinary manner with different peers to develop strategies
- Experience in strategy development, program management and engineering execution
- Having a track record of leading and recruiting productive engineering teams and helping them develop new skills and grow their careers
- Extensive engineering expertise in tooling, prints, specifications, product maintenance, budgeting, and software products
- Strong communication skills
- High integrity, self awareness and empathy
- Degree in a technical field
