VP Finance

Over the past year, Einride has seen an explosion in growth, resulting in the finance team increasing in a matter of months. As such, the Chief Financial Officer is looking to bring on a Vice President of Finance to lead all internal aspects of the finance function as both the team continues to expand and as complexity within the business increases. This person will play a key role in developing and growing the finance team whilst providing crucial insights and strategic advice to the CFO and leadership team on how to accelerate growth. As the business continues to develop, so will the responsibilities of the role, with the opportunity to take on remits such as compliance and ESG, amongst others.


Role Responsibilities
● End-to-end ownership of accounting and controlling, including working with outside accountants, producing internal and external reports, leading audit processes, the issuance of annual financial documents, etc…
● Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to provide accurate and timely financial analysis (budgeting, forecasts, etc.), as well as strategic advice to the leaders of the organization on risks and opportunities.
● Identify commercial levers to formulate growth strategies by defining impactful KPIs and monitoring granular performance across business lines and internal functions.
● Operate as a genuine partner, change agent, and financial advisor to the executive team with the ability to oscillate between high level executive discussions and getting involved in the detail of execution.
● Design and implement standardisation and process across accounting and controlling functions capable of adapting to new legal entities and geographic expansion.
Qualifications
● Master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or in business, as well as an accounting qualification.
● Best-in-class training in a blue-chip finance academy or within an audit, accountancy or financial advisory firm.
● Relevant experience in immature, early-stage growth environments (either within standalone entities or within divisions of larger corporates). Accustomed to operating in change environments with strategic ambiguity.
● Hands-on mindset, prone to action, capable of getting involved in the detail and executing on a range of tasks spanning beyond the immediate role expectations.
● Experience developing talent, identifying gaps within teams, and leading effective recruitment proceeds to strengthen the function.
● Clear, concise and impactful communicator with a track record of delivering insights and presentations both to senior executives as well as to junior teams.
● Internationally minded individual with experience living and working in multiple countries and continents, or experience operating in global businesses with dispersed teams. Culturally aware and adaptable.
