Through strong leadership and comprehension of the true needs and expectations of the customer, the Vice President, Marketing, Europe will develop, manage and execute a compelling multi-segment marketing strategy that aligns with organizational objectives to meet/exceed business revenue/margin goals.
The VP, Marketing, Europe will drive results through their exceptional leadership skills, consistently championing and supporting a culture of continuous improvement, with an eye on reaching optimum performance through individuals and teams. They will lead the organization through the development of regional/segment strategy and develop annual marketing plans to ensure alignment across the commercial organization.
Though you are a strategic thinker and seek to position Cepheid’s products for success, you will also need to be a team player, entrepreneurial, and willing to roll up your sleeves to drive initiatives and optimize the marketing engine for Europe. From determining prioritized segments, personas, positioning, competitive analysis, external communications, and Go-to-Market plans, you will play an integral role across our Infectious Disease and Oncology journey. You will need to manage several strategic priorities at once and work closely with team members from across different functions. You will build impactful programs, campaigns, deliver the Go-to-Market plans, and partner with cross-functional leaders to shape overall short- and long-term strategy.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive commercial strategy and direct marketing plans for European geographies
Support Strat Plan and OpEx planning
Direct and prioritize Marketing programs and deliverables
Monitor market data to identify market trends and opportunities
Partner with other Marketing functions, Product Management, MedSci, and Sales, to ensure the successful performance of on-market products and new product launches
Track and manage departmental budgets
Direct and review advertising and promotional materials, including print and on-line media
Direct content for outbound marketing campaigns via digital marketing channels
·Build and develop a world-class marketing team committed to high standards of achievement
·Reinforce continuous improvement, business and personal growth
· Create and sustain a culture of diversity and inclusion
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education or Experience (in years):
Bachelor’s degree with 20+ years of experience OR Master’s/Doctoral degree with 18+ years of experience AND 6+ years managing people
Demonstrated experience of translating clinical value into marketing messages across lab, clinical/healthcare provider, health system and patient segments
Experience working directly with thought leaders in relevant areas is required
Knowledge and skills:
Experience across multiple marketing functions
Strategic marketing and planning experience is preferred
Demonstrates knowledge of products and their application
Communicates effectively and strong team player/collaborator with various internal constituents, customers and other stakeholders
Excellent presentation skills; able to multi-task across broad number of products and disease states
