VP of Engineering

Our clients are the most recognized global consumer electronics brands, and we partner with the largest electronics retailers in the Nordic countries.
Our core offering is a concierge service for brands to run marketing campaigns against audiences they’ve never been able to access before, bridging the gap between producers of products and their retail channel partners. We market to people who are showing an interest in buying a particular type of product, guiding them through their buyer’s journey and funneling the prospective customer to their preferred retailer. To this end, we integrate with a lot of different data sources and ad networks, and we leverage user generated content and AI to put the best possible ad in front of the right person.
General responsibilities
You are responsible for building, developing and maintaining the company's technical operations, product platform and operating environment. It covers everything from contributing to overall long-term technology strategy to more short-term execution of development to the company's product platform to ensure that our products and services can meet the plan established by the company's board and owners. Furthermore, you will contribute to recruiting and managing the necessary development resources to deliver according to the company's development plan.
Plan and execute on strategic goals set
Help plan, recruit and build up the company's technical development organization to be able to meet the plans and strategies established by the company's board and management. You will contribute to developing routines and processes for the company to be able to develop a leading product and platform, we must have tools and technology that are well adapted to market trends and any changes in the market. The company has an ambition to become the leading player in our focused area and the market we have established ourselves in.
Building a development team
As VP of Engineering, you will be working together with the CTO and other management in the company, as well as helping to coach and develop our engineering team. Being always proactive, open and supportive of your team and other managers is important. We have a high ceiling where we should all be able to express our thoughts and ideas, but it is important that things that can be perceived differently are well thought out and when we have agreed on our path together, that we all stand behind our joint decisions. You must also, together with the CTO, plan and recruit in line with the development plan that the company has.
Responsibilities
You will contribute your expert knowledge in the technical space, recruitments and coaching of our developers in the field of technology. You will also help develop processes, documentation and methodology in your area.
