About Mindler

Most people suffer from mental health problems at some point in their lives. Mindler was founded in 2018 by two psychologists and one doctor with the vision to enable a world with better mental health. Since then, we have helped thousands of people to meet a psychologist via our app, having more than 300+ accredited psychologists working with us. In Sweden, Mindler is already now the leading provider of access to licensed psychologists and evidence-based treatment methods. Thanks to our hard-working tech teams, who have developed our app and iCBT modules; Mindler has become known as the science-driven mind leading industry change.

Our tech organization is currently split into four sub-teams, all with different core responsibilities relating to the infrastructure, data, integration, and features of our product. To support our tech department we are now looking for a VP of Engineering to join Mindler and take our development to the next level!

The role:

The VP of Engineering at Mindler will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the tech department while managing the team of Engineering Managers and reports to the CPTO. Today we already work in a cross-functional manner but with the opportunity to develop this even further. You will be an important stakeholder in the extended management team and drive the strategic plans and business goals for tech and product development.

What would you be working with?

Leading the teams and EMs through management and mentorship connected to the company values.

Contributing to recruitment activities.

Writing technical policies as needed for compliance.

Developing processes and policies to ensure that quality standards are met and consistent.

Preparing & optimizing budgets and keeping cost control for the overall tech department.

Recommending, investigating, and eliciting technological developments and investments in line with the company goals.

Developing a team culture that aligns with the company values to ensure quality, morale, flow, minimization of churn, and compliance for end products and engineers.

Responsible for building and implementing organizational development (i.e. team, leadership, decision-making structure) that ensures scalability in terms of staff and software development.

Technical audits on external parties including, but not limited to, medical providers. The audits include giving risk assessments for business development packaged for non-engineers with a clear executive summary.

Who are you?

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.

4 years of relevant work experience in software engineering.

2-3 years of tech leadership and experience in coaching engineering managers or similar.

Experience in hiring and building tech teams.

Good understanding of strategic problem-solving.

Ability to communicate with impact and build trust / good relationships with tech, product, and other departments.

Financial acumen.

You thrive in businesses with an agile mindset and strong purpose.

It’s a plus if you have:

DevOps knowledge.

Good knowledge of system architecture and microservice design.

Experience in agile ways of working and process creation.

Startup or scale-up experience.
