Vice President of Research and Development
Responsibilities:
Perform classical R&D to identify right composition and production treatments for a broad portfolio of high performing steel grades
Define and drive a dynamic R&D budget strategy that focuses on establishing high performing steel grades while collaborating with universities and research institutes
Identify new areas for R&D to strengthen the companies position across production optimization and product portfolio solutions
Work closely with Digital to conduct appropriate research on new solutions for steel sales
Drive strategy and steel work development roadmap for highest priority short and long-term opportunities.
Leverage analysis of industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance from an R&D perspective

Qualifications:
PhD Degree in Material Science or related discipline
10 or more years of experience with product development of steel grades
Ability to bring innovative thinking coupled with practical execution to solve multi-dimensional issues.
Delivers tasks on-time and within budget with alignment to defined strategies

Interpersonal skills
Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication.
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management.
