We are now looking for a Warehouse GM for our brand-new factory in Umeå! Komatsu Forest is a global company with stable owners. In Umeå, the entire chain is represented - from development, sales and production to aftermarket and service. Tasks
​​​​​​​​​​​​​​As a Warehouse GM you have the total responsibility for approx. 120 employees, of which three are direct reports and one department that reports directly to you. You have the overall responsibility for personnel and resources including budget planning, and work environment management.
The warehouse work includes not only receiving, stocking, picking and shipping, but also monitoring the assembly for every station. For you to be successful in the role it is important that you have general knowledge in ERP system/WMS system and how production works in the system.
You manage the warehouse according to our priority SLQDC (Safety Law Quality Delivery Cost) and set goals and policies in consultation with the management. Lean and 5S principles implementation is a part of your everyday work.
As a person, you take initiative, drive your tasks and having big interest in continuous improvement, you are structured and have good analytical skills.
Profile
​​​​​​​You have many years of experience in a qualified managerial role from warehouse or other industrial production. You should also have good experience of structure for daily management and follow-up operations. You are used to drive changes in a production environment with good results, have a good habit of working with union partners and have the desire to work close to the business together with your personnel and teams.
It is highly advantageous if, in addition to your experience, you have relevant education at college or university level and good analytical skills. If you also have experience from an Asian (Japanese) business climate, we see that as meritorious. You are fluent in both Swedish and English in speech and writing.
As a person you are communicative and without prestige. You can adapt information to the recipient, delegate, and lead through others. You take initiative and work forward curiously in a structured and goal-oriented manner. In your previous professional roles, you have understood the importance of collaborating and creating long-term sustainable relationships - always with a transparent and clear target image.
