We are now looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Manager, based in Kågeröd.
We are currently looking for a driven and ambitious Warehouse & Logistics Manager for our Beverage business unit.
Our Warehouse & Logistics Manager holds a key role in our customer centric company. As part of the Supply Chain organisation for the Beverages business unit, the role operates in a fast paced environment with extensive growth plans. The scope stretches from securing safety and engagement for the staff in the daily operations to tendering global transports and warehousing. Securing efficiency, solid service levels and cost consciousness are vital aspects of this role.
As we are going through a transformation as a business unit, it is important that the person in this role is comfortable with change and has the experience of leading people through changes. To be successful within this position you must have an interest in the end-to-end value chain, flows and processes and to understand business impact and effect on total cost.
You will work in close cooperation with Procurement, Marketing, Suppliers, Customer Care, Quality and Manufacturing.

Uncover the unique machine functionality of all our products. The beverage development center of Barry Callebaut is located outside Helsingborg, Sweden. There, powder drinks are developed and manufactured for a global market. The focus is on chocolate and coffee, but also tea and milk products are in the assortment. The products are marketed under brands such as Ögonblink, Van Houten, Caprimo, Bensdorp and Le Royal.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and continuously improve logistics, warehousing and shipping functions within the Beverage Business Unit.
Provide role-model leadership in driving change to achieve continuous improvement (Lean) practices in warehousing
Ensure optimum level of resource utilization to meet production, inventory and customer service needs within processes, facility and cost constraints.
Work actively to secure a budget and Capital expenditures (CapEx), in line with targets and expectations. Continuously follow up on results and mitigate risks of not meeting targets in a timely manner.
Ensure areas of responsibility are operating according to local laws and regulations and work proactively to eliminate risks to staff and product. Focus to meet targets set for Environment, Health and Safety.
Drive improvements/development both independently and in teams, manage expectations from stakeholders, set up proactive ways of working to manage potential risks/issues before they occur.
Ensure staff is recruited, trained and motivated to secure the warehousing and logistics demand of the Beverage business.
Lead and/or participate in projects aimed at improving the Beverage business. Ex tender processes for materials, customer specific requirements, process developments etc.
Use facts and Root Cause Analysis tools to improve the warehousing and logistics departments’ performance.
For agreed KPIs and metrics; secure data collection and analysis. Drive appropriate actions to improve results and to exceed the expectations from both internal and external customers.
Ensure all importations/exportations are performed in accordance with laws and regulations.
Lead tenders for suppliers on warehousing and transportation. This includes collection of needs from all stakeholders and actively securing the same service level or improvement of service level in combination with lower costs.
Implement best practices and be involved in and contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives
Deliver accuracy and quality in your tasks and keep deadlines.
Professional qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in relevant fields like Supply Chain Management / Business Administration or similar level by (working) experience.
At least 5 years’ leadership experience within a manufacturing environment with focus on warehousing and logistics as well as experience in change management, preferably within the Food & Beverages industry
Experience in developing warehousing strategies including capacity and cost calculations as well as center of gravity evaluations.
Experience in cost management for warehousing and logistics including budgeting.
Good knowledge and understanding of ERP and MRP systems, and the ability to learn new software and order management systems quickly. Our preferred candidate is a SAP fan.
Experience in use of BI data and large data sets, and analysis thereof.
Familiar with new startup warehouse operations and roll-out, will be a plus.
Good knowledge in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Fluent English and Swedish skills, both verbal and written, German language beneficial
