Available on phone for Supervision/questions
Provides daily direction and leadership to the Warehouse department.
Delegating and assigning tasks and targets and evaluating the working of the staff.
Physical Goods receiving, arrival control, picking and loading, and re-packing/re-labelling.
Engaged with logistics projects as determined by logistics Management.
Lead and/or participate in Kaizen events as requested.
Expected to fully implement all applicable DBS tools.
Support SAP accuracy
Conducts regular one on one and helps drafts performance objectives and development plans (P4G/D4G)
Organizes and conducts all required training activities for the department.
Accountable for the safe operation of all equipment, including forklifts, hand tools, and other equipment in the operation.
Ensures all staff is trained properly to operate warehouse equipment.
Makes recommendations to the logistics Management of manpower needs, including involvement in recruitment and selection process within the department.
Accountable for staffing, training, motivation and leadership.
Establishes and maintains procedures for determining and meeting company and customer delivery commitments by handling materials, providing labor, and effective use of time.
Recommends and assists in implementing operating procedures and promotes continual improvement within the Warehouse.
Responsible for researching missed or late received and/or picked orders.
Inbound Errors: Responsible for researching and identifying root cause.
Follows inbound methods for material using the proper SOP and takes ownership of process documentation creation, changes and periodic review.
Accountable for ensuring the Warehouse areas is audit ready 24x7. Readily takes action to implement effective countermeasures and monitor sustainment of audit findings.
Accountable for ensuring the Warehouse areas is 5S ready 24x7 and promotes 5S activities to sustain warehouse organization and safety.
Supervisor will immediately document and report to the logistics Management any situation, incident or problems that directly relate to the efficient, complete, and timely dispatch of any and all assigned work.
Will ensure all personnel are aware of their job duties and will be cross trained as needed.
At all times, supervisor will promote a cooperative/teamwork atmosphere toward all employees.
Must investigate and report all accidents and near misses to the logistics director and Incident board in a timely and efficient manner.
Manage/certify time reports, leave applications in Cepheid AB`s time system “Kontek”
Create, maintain and provide reports of departments KPIs
Assure daily visual management meetings occur with assigned logistics associates.
Keeps open and productive communication with procurement and planning teams
Regularly appraises manager regarding KPI progress.
Works closely with inventory manager to assure inventory accuracy
Level 3 security class clearance for Known consignor

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)
Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
Ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience (in years):


Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required
Knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and SAP required.
Knowledge and experience with all warehouse functions.
Knowledge of Dangerous goods; ADR/ADR-S.
Communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work well under pressure and juggle multiple and changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Great attention to details
Reliability and willingness to work hour needed to meet deadlines

Knowledge and skills:
Knowledge of the safety and legal documentation processes for handling related warehouse activities (MSDS, Equipment checklist, BOL).
Certified, or ability to be certified on all forklift equipment and, if necessary, to voluntarily drive a van.
Working and understanding of WMS system.
Good leadership and administration skills and abilities.
Strong motivational skills and effectual team building and decision making.
Ability to effectively manage time, resolve crisis and decision making.
Ability to efficiently coordinate workings with internal and external workers of the company.
Demonstrates a commitment to doing it “the right way” with a high level of attention to details and high personal standards of performance.
