Job description:
We are looking for a senior Way of Working coach for an assignment within our Delivery Area Product in the division BOPO.
Within DA Product we have three maintenance situations. The largest one is our PLM system called Castor with almost 60 members distributed over one platform team and five agile scrum teams, each with a Team lead. The teams focus on support, maintenance and Business improvements. All teams work towards the same backlog and they really need to be synchronized. We need to review the Way of Working internally within DA Product as well as how we work with Business.
The assignment will start with a pre-study, to define the as-is situation, followed by a transformation of the Way of Working. This includes to review the Way of Working, identify bottlenecks and areas of improvement, review responsibilities per role and information/communication structures. The goal is to secure delivery of clear, efficient and reliable effort to our Business.
Work tasks:
* Conduct a pre-study - define the scope, goals and risks together with the teams and stakeholders
* Lead and coach leaders as well as team members in the organization
* Be advisory
* Facilitate workshops
* Come up with concrete proposals for improvements - may also be at a more detailed level, e.g how we work with requirements
* Document the Way of Working process
* Implement the Way of Working process
Specific Competencies:
* Ability to coach and support current leaders throughout the transformation, ensuring that the responsibility/accountability for the change is kept in the line organization
* Change management - communication, managing people and their different maturity and expectations in a change
* Several years of experience in leadership roles and coaching with a focus in agile methods
* Experience of implementing agile Way of Working, both at team and management levels
* Experience of implementing Way of Working in large/complex management organizations
* Experience of working in distributed teams
* Experience of working with offshore (India is an advantage)
* Experience/trained in various development methodologies - both traditional and agile
* Worked in situations where several teams work toward the same backlog
Tools competence:
Preferably JIRA or similar issue management system
Other:
* Prestigeless - it does not need to be the coach's solution, often it is even better if it comes from the team or the organization
* Curious - asking questions and not assume that the coach has the answer
* Committed - really go in for the task and be active during the entire journey
* Possessing a holistic approach - to look up and not lose the big picture, while having an eye on the details. Improving the big picture and avoid sub-optimization
* Brave - creating trust and confidence so that you as a coach even dare to tackle difficult questions and challenging situations
Additional:
* For this assignment, we are at first hand looking for consultants permanently based in Stockholm
* We are primarily looking for freelancers or employeed consultants, subcontractors/subconsultants are not of interest
