In this position you will work alongside an existing buyer within indirect procurement, mostly with service providers and machine maintenance spares. You will also collaborate with the internal customers and maintenance engineers of the client, as well as planning and the Commodity Team. It is common that in the Machine Maintenance unexpected things happen, therefore, it is important that you can change focus when the situation requires it. You will work in an international environment as many of the clients’ suppliers are in Europe.

You should be eager to work as a Buyer with the responsibility to take care of ongoing contracts with suppliers and want to oversee the service level of the suppliers. As Junior Buyer your focus will lay in working within the commodity of the machine maintenance area.

Here follows a description of your job assignments. You will be responsible for:

-Managing the performance of the suppliers you oversee, as well as the relations with them.
-Controlling your suppliers to make sure they fulfill their responsibilities according to the contract.
-Helping to develop and being responsible of implementing strategies in coordination with the Global Commodity Management. The team you will be part of when working in a commodity, will be formed by colleagues from diverse sites within the client’s company.
-Seeking for new suppliers.
-Purchasing the Machine Maintenance spares, technical support and wares.
-Handling exchange/replaceable parts where applicable (including packing slip and shipment handling).
-Engage in the maintenance preparation, as well as in the planning to ensure spare availability.
-Surveilling deliveries.
-Administering data handling and back-office administration.
-Responsibilities for KPI’s such as, purchase order arrears, inventory, product price variance and on-time delivery.


Requirements and Skills

-You have a business mindset and an interest in a proactive way of working with a high technical content.
-Strategic and operational skills, as well as a high ability to work independently to achieve the objectives.
-You should act both target-oriented and in a proactive way.
-Ability to work autonomously, in a team and as a team leader.
-Skills in thinking and acting in a creative manner.
-High flexibility adapting to upcoming and different situations.
-Have both a lean and solution-oriented manner.
-Have a customer focus as well as supplier relation skills.
-At least have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or economics.
-Expert level of English, both oral and written.
-Skilled in MS Office tools and SAP.
-You should have 1-3 years’ experience from commercial assignment.

Meritorious

-Understanding of aerospace products and technologies.
