Excillum is a leading company in the field of high-end microfocus and nanofocus X-ray sources. Our mission is to enable new science, improve medicine and enhance manufacturing by continuous development of state-of-the-art X-ray sources. As a research engineer at Excillum you will work mainly in the lab with the aim of developing the company's X-ray sources. The X-ray sources are complex systems and consist of electronics, software, mechanics, precision fluidics and high vacuum. You will be part of the research team, which is characterized by creation of knowledge and innovation spirit. Most of your time will be spent collaborating with cross-functional teams at Excillum for instance Engineering and Production. These project development teams work in an agile manner with sprint planning.

Your days will vary but amongst other you will:

- Making theoretical calculations, designing concepts and test arrangements

- Working in the lab building test arrangements, maintaining and performing measurements

- Participating in forums for small and large technology development projects and product development projects


To succeed in this job, we believe that you have at least a M.Sc within relevant field and have previous experience in early technology development. If you have a PhD background with experimental experience, you are also well suited for this job. As a person you are detail-oriented, structured and enjoy working with others. Furthermore, the work involves a lot of practical work, and it requires that you are handy and have previous experience in similar work.
