We are seeking a person with practical experience from development cooperation and resource mobilization from institutional donors.
In the position as Regional Program Officer (RPO) you will be part of a team of regional program officers in We Effect’s International Department in Stockholm who work to support our five regional offices in Africa, Latin America, the Balkans and Asia.
The purpose of the postion is: (i) to be focal point at Head Office for one of our regional offices in relation to its development operations. This includes providing support and oversight of the programatic work of the regional office throughout the program cycle; and (ii) to contribute to effective resource mobilisation and securing of needed funds from instituational donors for the implementation of the We Effects stategy and development programs.
Main Responsibilities
Quality assurance, support and head office coordination of regional offices’ programming and application processes
Continuous monitoring of ongoing programs/projects and grants in the region
Support the regions in strategy and program follow-up and provide quality assurance of reports to donors.
Intelligence related to donor relations, resource mobilization and the development in the region
Participate and represent We Effect in relevant meetings, networks and forums in Sweden
Support the strategic work around resource mobilisation within We Effect.
Support the development of the organization’s systems, procedures and processes for applications and resource mobilization.

Required qualifications:
University degree in a relevant field.
Experience of program/project planning and management; resource mobilization or work with applications for grants from institutional donors such as Sida, EU and Nordic Embassies.
Good knowledge of rights-based development cooperation
Good knowledge of Swedish development cooperation.
Good analytical ability.
Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
Very good knowledge in English.
