Web Application tester (Södertälje, Sweden)

DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a tester that will work with customers Global Gross Demand. A web application for generating Global Gross demand.

The main tasks:
- Exploratory testing continuously throughout the project and our sprints.
- Ensure and verify that the correct data is handled and presented, automatically and manually.
- Verify the AGDA user interface throughout development.
- Verify that the business rules are implemented and fulfilled continuously.
- Ensure that we follow the GUI design guidelines.
- Report and follow up on trouble reports in Jira, re-testing
- Prepare test data in different environments
- Summary of test results

The project needs to recruit a tester since our test manager is also working as system analyst and with requirements. We need to extend testing to assure quality on a short and long term developing AGDA and support the business representatives in their exploratory testing. Existing Test manager will be working part time from August to December due to parental leave. We are also in a position where the business representatives do not have enough time for exploratory testing.

PROJECT BACKGROUND:

The project will deliver one new business process and one way of working globally in Europe and Latin America with gross demand forecast. Trucks, buses and engines are included. The new process will be based on customers design structure.
The project will deliver a new IT-system (AGDA) to support the new business process. It will contain new required functionality.
AGDA will replace SNABBS. SNABBS is the tool that since the 1980?s has calculated the gross demand in Europe. The SNABBS system is built on AROS/ROSAM technology that is planned to be phased out in coming years.
The project has been running since November 2012 and plan to finish in Q1 2015. It is run in an agile way using SCRUM. Every sprint is 3 weeks and we are currently is sprint 21. The AGDA base is already developed and we can produce a forecast result based on the order book.

COMPETENCE PROFILE:
We are looking for someone who has a university degree in IT and worked for some years with testing and focus on web application testing. Technical knowledge is required and web service testing and test automation experience is a demand. Experience from like Spectra, Material Control, Mona are preferred. The person should have a good understanding of the system development lifecycle.

We think the person has been working with test in agile environments and used methods such as Scrum or Kanban.

- Jira
- Familiar with product structures
- Large data volumes
- Interfaces to other systems
- Setting new releases into production and work needed in order to do that (deployment/release)
- Managing files on Unix servers (nice to have)

Rolling 3 month contract
Location: Sodertalje.
