Let us present Service Technology at Volvo Cars. Our organization in the unit Service Business is consisting of several different teams organized as an agile release train (“ART”) working according to a Volvo specific agile model. We focus on securing possibilities for effective maintenance and repair for all cars delivered using our global organization for the benefits of our users.
The work with continuous improvements and finding new innovative ways to work and connect with our consumers using automation and digital tools will be a constant focus for us. We will implement a new global service model supporting both traditional sales as well as future sales through subscription and mobile service online (direct sales). Our vision includes a superior user experience supporting our service providers with an easy-to-use all-inclusive package for every individual consumer.
Together with the Digital team and the Product Development team we drive the digital and technical development. To drive this change, we need you.
Your mission
We now have an exciting opportunity within the ART, where we are seeking a Team Manager to lead some of our agile teams.
As Team Manager you are responsible for recruiting, developing and coaching team members. The team manager has formal responsibilities for work environment, performance rating and salaries. In a strategic perspective you will also be responsible for developing and modify our competence strategy. Since our business and company are rapidly changing, we’re doing the same.
You will be a key in this continuous change and both act as change agent in our operations and feel comfortable about leading change. It will also include having a formal responsibility for work environment, performance rating and salaries, meaning you can really make a difference, as well as strategic responsibilities for competence plans.
You are working close together with other agile leaders in a “unity of three” where a Product Owner fo cuses technology and priorities and a Scrum Master focusing optimizing processes and team development.The teams consist of developers, people from a technical background working with development of service technology for global use. You will be in close contact with the employees, but also other stakeholders as PX, Finance and Digital.
You will be part of the management team of the ART which is a close and very engaged team who are passionate about co-creating and leading together.

You set objectives and prioritize work appropriately, and you have strong influencing skills and can inspire people to work towards joint objectives. In the organisation, you are a go-to-person with high integrity that is passionate about creating the best prerequisites for people and organisations to succeed.
We are looking for a leader with excellent communication skills that create clarity and an open and trusting environment, comfortable both leading small teams and large groups of teams. You are results driven and structured in your approach. You have an outstanding capability to engage with different stakeholders and builds connections in a way that creates trust.
Qualifications
* A university degree business administration, engineering or similar.
* Experience from agile projects
* Proven track-record of translating business objectives into hands-on plans
* Proven track record of understanding business objectives and translate them to actions in terms of attracting, recruiting and developing people and competencies
* Solid English communication skills, verbally and in writing.
If you already have experience as a Team manager it’s of course an asset that is meritorious for this position.
