Get to know us!
The two teams within Function & Control is responsible for development of all seat functions at Volvo Cars. We design, develop, and deliver software and mechanical functionality and design, for both our inhouse and the supplier part of the control modules.

You and your skills
We are now looking for an engineer with experience of working agile, product development in automotive industry, experience in coordinating and collaborate with multiple stake holders in the organisation to define the desired function behaviour. You have at least 3 years of experience as functional owner.We are looking for an individual who has strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills. You are someone who can manage tasks independent and drive issues with energy and transparent in reporting status of the area, manage cross functional contacts. You should be Self-driven, reliable and a strong team player. We prefer someone structured with good documentation and communication skills and performance driven
Your main responsibility
* Define function description for seat related functionality which involves creating use case, writing user manual and communicating the functional intent to the designers.
* Be responsible for performing Hazard analysis and TARA. Furthermore, also involve in Functional Safety (ISO26262), Cyber Security and legal parts.
* Actively participate in verfication reviews of System Safety & Cyber Security activities.
* Collaborate with test engineers in function verification and also define function verification test cases in Carweaver Tool.
* Familiarity in preparing test reports & test specification.

Requirements:
Essential Competencies:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering/Electronics engineering/Embedded Systems/Mechatronics or equivalent
* Knowledge in Automotive trends and familiarity with functionality in cars in general.
* Familiar with requirement Engineering, version handling.
* Fluent in English (both written and spoken)


Good To have:
* Knowledge in ISO26262 standard and also Cybersecurity standared is desirable.
* Swedish Driving license B.
