What’s in it for you?
Group Treasury drives business value by capitalizing and mitigating financial risks. We have a Group wide and global responsibility for the management of all financial risks, funding, financial infrastructure and bank relationships. We are now looking for candidates to join the Treasury Operations. Treasury Operations has a broad responsibility including also cash management, settlement, risk analysis and control, working capital financial solutions, trade finance and the internal bank. You will be joining a dynamic and ambitious Treasury team.
You will play an important role within Treasury and work within the functional area of risk analysis and control. Your focus will be on analysis of financial risks and methods for measuring and reporting of exposures and performance. In your work you will work in close collaboration with both external and internal stakeholders.
The position is based at Volvo Cars HQ in Gothenburg.
What you will do
Your tasks and responsibilities in this position will be to work with financial risk analysis and participate in enhancing it and reporting processes. You will analyze and improve methods for measuring and reporting exposures to senior management and other functions along with taking an active part in developing and following up hedge models and strategies for foreign exchange, interest and commodity price risk. You will use your systems expertise, financial theory and quantitative techniques to develop and implement quantitative models and methodologies to define, measure, and ultimately manage financial risk. You will perform scenario analysis and stress testing across all financial risk exposures as well as provide detailed analysis and documentation of methods, techniques, and findings. You are to monitor limits, maintain limit framework and escalate limit breach to management. You have the capability to follow up and analyze performance/result for the Treasury department as well as participate in and run projects to develop the Group Treasury organization.
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you who have a University degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Computer and Systems Science and 3-7 years relevant work experience. To be successful in this role you also need a robust knowledge and understanding of MS Windows infrastructure and related processes/interfaces and systems (Visual Basic, Routing and Switching Systems such as IP Switch or Citrix) as well as experience from building macros Treasury processes and systems as well as experience from quantitative market risk analysis is meriting. Financial instrument knowledge in addition to accounting knowledge are seen as additional values in this role. You also must be fluent in English, both written and spoken, and excellent knowledge and proficiency in Excel.
On a personal level you are exceptionally analytical and have a proactive approach. You are a target-oriented individual who has a drive to improve and challenge, with ability to take own initiative and solve issues. For this position it is also essential that you have excellent communication skills and high integrity.
